I was forced to check my carry-on bag, even though it fit within the airline’s guidelines. After boarding, I sat for over an hour with no explanation for the delay. The lack of communication was frustrating.
The seatback screens with movies were a nice feature, but I was annoyed about having to check my carry-on bag. They claimed there wasn’t enough room, but there were empty overhead bins at takeoff! The flight attendants and gate staff weren’t helpful when I questioned the decision. They simply gave me a phone number that never connects to a real person. Their customer service is nonexistent. It seems like my business isn’t important to them.
Extra Charges and Forgotten Meals
Virgin Atlantic’s service was good, but I had a terrible experience with their ticket agent. They charged me an extra £57 in airport fees! I refused to pay, but they said I wouldn’t be able to travel without it. It was only three days before my departure, so I had no choice but to pay. I have the receipt to prove it. Please look into this matter.
I’m not impressed with American Airlines. They forgot my girlfriend’s meal, even though the app confirmed it was ordered. They blamed it on a “glitch” in the system, but this seems to be a recurring problem. The legroom in economy class is ridiculously small, even for someone of my size. I felt very uncomfortable. What’s even worse, they didn’t even give me the option to order a meal for an internal flight I booked through their app, so I ended up without food on a nine-hour flight. I won’t be flying with them again.
Unexpected Delays and Poor Compensation
My flight was unexpectedly canceled, and I was stuck at the airport for the whole day. Instead of flying out in the morning, I had to leave in the evening. Some passengers had their flights canceled twice, and their original flight was supposed to leave the day before. The airline didn’t offer any explanation. While I was able to get rebooked quickly, I would have preferred to be on an earlier flight. They only gave me a £10 voucher for food at the airport as compensation. I eventually arrived at my destination without any further issues, but this cancellation made it one of the most frustrating travel experiences of my life.
System Crash and Unhelpful Staff
I didn’t even get to board my flight because British Airways had a system crash. It affected many people’s boarding passes for connecting flights, causing them to miss their flights. The staff was unhelpful. They called us liars and said we were going to be too late for our flights, which was a lie. I was an hour and ten minutes early for my connecting flight when my boarding pass was scanned. I waited for three hours and ended up having to book a train home, which took another four hours! The staff was useless, and the whole experience was an inconvenience. After traveling for three months, I was finally back in my home country, and this was the first major issue I encountered! I will never fly with British Airways again.
