What do I need to check in? To ensure a seamless check-in process, all guests must present valid identification. Non-UK residents are required to present their passport. UK residents must provide either a driving license or passport. If you’re on a corporate rate, you may also be asked for your corporate identification to verify your rate.
Please note: Failure to present the required identification may prevent you from checking in.
Payment Information
Do I need a payment method to check in? Yes, all reservations require a £75 per day authorization. This allows you to fully enjoy the hotel’s facilities and charge your expenses to your room without any hassle. We kindly request you to note that we operate a cashless policy.
Top Tip: If you’ve made an advance purchase reservation, remember to bring the card you used for payment. Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten it! We’ll happily refund the initial payment and use an alternative payment method upon your arrival.
Accessing the Hotel
Is the main entrance the only way in? While our main entrance on Upper Thames Street is ideal for guests arriving by car, those arriving on foot or by tube (closest station: Mansion House) should use our north entrance via Huggin Hill. Please be aware that from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, this door is accessible only with hotel guest keys.

Parking and Transportation
Where is the nearest car park? The closest parking facility is the NCP Thames Vintry, located approximately a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
Top Tip: We recommend parking your car before reaching the hotel. Due to the one-way system around the hotel and London’s traffic, getting back to the car park after arriving at the hotel can be time-consuming.
Airport Shuttle: We do not provide an airport shuttle service. However, our concierge team ([email protected]) is available to assist you with arranging train, tube, or car services to reach the property.
Decorations and Amenities
Can I bring balloons and decorations for my room? While we understand the desire to personalize your stay, we unfortunately do not permit external decoration packages as they can cause significant damage to our rooms. Deep cleaning and damage fees will apply.

Guest Age Restrictions
What is the age requirement for checking in? Guests must be 18 years of age or older to check into a room. Those under 18 years old are not permitted to stay at The Westin London City unless accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also staying at the hotel.
We reserve the right to request valid photographic proof of identity and age. Failure to provide this may result in the denial of your stay.
