A Warm Welcome and a Touch of Hospitality

Premier Inn Deptford Bridge greeted us with open arms, thanks to the incredibly friendly Marina and Priya. Marina’s sunny disposition is truly infectious, brightening even the dullest of days. Her professionalism shines through, making you feel welcome and comfortable. The entire staff was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond, even when they were stretched thin during peak hours. They handled the busy periods with grace and never let their workload impact their smiles.

Delicious Breakfast, Disappointing Dinner

Breakfast was a delight, exceeding our expectations with fresh, hot food that was constantly replenished. Unfortunately, dinner left a lot to be desired, with overcooked meals and subpar quality. We had to voice our concerns, and Umo handled the situation flawlessly. Her courtesy and unwavering smile are a testament to the high standards of Premier Inn.

A Comfortable Stay with Minor Quirks

The hotel itself was a standard Premier Inn, offering clean and comfortable rooms with a decent view of the London skyline. It’s perfect for a no-frills stay, especially if you’re seeking a budget-friendly option near the O2 Arena, just a 10-minute walk away. We appreciated the spacious and clean rooms, although a bit more shower gel would have been nice. While the lack of air conditioning wasn’t a major issue for us during our stay, it would be a welcome addition for those visiting during warmer months. The common areas, however, did have air conditioning, which was a relief.

Exploring the Neighborhood

The hotel’s location is fantastic, close to the Deptford Bridge DLR station, providing easy access to the city center. A short 8-minute walk will lead you to a selection of restaurants, including a great Vietnamese eatery. The hotel is also near a supermarket where you can stock up on essentials and even purchase a SIM card.

Greenwich Charm and a Few Inconveniences

Our three-night stay at the Premier Inn Greenwich was pleasant overall. The hotel was clean and the staff was welcoming. However, the breakfast options were limited, lacking in variety. We missed having more vegetables and cold cuts like cheese. While the lack of choice might have disappointed adults, the free pancakes for children certainly made up for it. The location itself was a mixed bag; while a 10-minute walk will take you to the Cutty Sark, the area didn’t have much to offer. Unfortunately, everything was closed on Christmas Day, including public transport, which limited our exploring options.

A Cozy Sleep with a Few Discomfort

The rooms were quite small, but comfortable enough considering we were mostly sleeping in them. The pillows, however, were a bit of a struggle for us, as they were too firm for our liking. We opted to use them anyway, leading to some back pain, but this is purely a personal preference as everyone has their own sleep style.

Despite this small inconvenience, we found the hotel clean, safe, and affordable compared to other options. The nearby Tesco made it easy to grab snacks and drinks. We’d definitely book again for a future trip to London.
