The Actors’ Church is a beautiful space that comes alive with a variety of events throughout the year. From plays and concerts to parties, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And best of all, many of these events are held outdoors, allowing you to soak in the stunning gardens.
Imagine the sun slowly setting during a performance of Twelfth Night. Or the thrill of watching a dramatic monologue from Macbeth while the rain gently falls. The Actors’ Church is a magical place where the weather adds to the experience, creating a unique atmosphere for each event.
Weather and Your Visit
The British weather can be quite unpredictable, especially during the summertime. While we strive to avoid cancellations, sometimes, for safety reasons, it may be necessary.
Rest assured, we never cancel a show before its scheduled start time unless the temperature reaches 40 degrees Celsius. This is primarily to ensure the safety of our performers, staff, and audience members traveling through central London.
We also understand that weather can be a factor in your decision to attend an event. Therefore, we have implemented a Weather Exchange Policy to support our customers when performances are affected by the rain.
The Weather Exchange Policy
The Weather Exchange Policy is designed to provide flexibility and peace of mind to our patrons. Here’s how it works:
- If we cancel a performance due to dangerous weather, you can exchange your ticket for any other upcoming performance.
- The policy only applies to tickets purchased through the Actors’ Church Box Office.
- If a performance is cancelled, our Box Office will notify you via email.
Please make sure you check your emails, as we are not responsible if you miss a cancelled performance due to not checking your inbox. We will also try to contact you again the following day to facilitate the exchange.
If you are unable to reach us, you will need to contact the Box Office yourself to exchange your ticket.
There is no deadline to exchange your ticket, and you can choose any upcoming performance you like. However, your ability to exchange for a specific date and time will depend on the availability of seats or spaces.
Exchanging Your Ticket
We will always try our best to exchange your ticket for a performance with a similar ticket price.
- If the new performance has a lower ticket price, you won’t receive a refund for the difference.
- If the new performance has a higher ticket price, you will need to pay the difference, plus a 90p booking fee. There will be no administrative charge.
If exchanging your ticket is not possible, you can choose to donate the cost of your ticket to The Actors’ Church. This will help us continue to support aspiring artists in the heart of Covent Garden.
Alternatively, you can request a refund for your ticket. For more information on our refund policy, please refer to our website.
Enjoy the magic of the Actors’ Church!
