The friendly staff were incredibly accommodating, booking me a room over the phone with just my name – no credit card needed! Despite my last-minute request, they were still arranging my room, so they welcomed me into the cozy lounge with a complimentary glass of champagne while I waited. Within ten minutes, my room was ready. The staff went above and beyond, exceeding all expectations. From the welcoming smiles to the meticulous service, they made me feel right at home. The food was delicious, and my room was comfortable and charming. This hotel truly shines, especially in its exceptional service and unbeatable value. I wouldn’t hesitate to return if I ever needed to travel to London again.

While I was mostly out and about exploring London, I found my room to be a unique and charming retreat. The hotel is perfectly situated, a mere minute from Oxford Street, yet tucked away in a peaceful and tranquil location. The hotel might appear slightly worn, but it adds to its unique charm. My room (number 17, if I recall correctly) was one of the most unusual I’ve ever encountered – and I loved it! It had its own private staircase leading directly into the room – a winding flight of stairs with a separate WC at the entrance. The main room was accessible via another set of steps, and it even featured a shower within the room itself. Despite its quirky features, the room was impeccably clean and fresh. I highly recommend this charming hotel for independent travelers who appreciate unique experiences and don’t mind a bit of a climb!

Its location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Central London, with Oxford Street just a short walk away. It’s a convenient spot for exploring restaurants, bars, and shops, including late-night eateries and a Tesco supermarket on Edgware Road. The breakfast is hearty and freshly prepared, providing the perfect fuel for a day of sightseeing. While the rooms could benefit from some modern touches, like brighter lighting and updated bathroom fixtures, the staff, amenities, and overall experience more than make up for any minor imperfections. The lobby restaurant is open 24 hours, housekeeping is impeccable, and the reception staff is always friendly and helpful. We highly recommend The Leonard to anyone planning a trip to London.
