A Hidden Gem in London: The Leonard Hotel

Tired of cookie-cutter hotels? Then you need to experience the charm of The Leonard Hotel in London! This charming establishment offers a unique blend of traditional hospitality and modern convenience, making it a haven for travelers seeking a truly authentic London experience.

A Serendipitous Discovery

After a less-than-stellar experience at another hotel, I found myself in desperate need of a new place to stay. Luckily, a hailing a cab just 10 minutes away led me to The Leonard. The booking process was incredibly easy – they only needed my name and no credit card information was required over the phone. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the hotel’s classic charm – a refreshing change from the corporate vibe of my previous hotel.

While they were still getting our room ready, we were invited to enjoy a glass of champagne in the cozy lounge. Within just 10 minutes, our room was ready! The staff was incredibly helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We were impressed by the delicious food and the comfortable, homey feel of our room. It was clear that service and value were top priorities at The Leonard. I couldn’t fault anything about our stay, especially the service and the prices. I knew that this was a place I’d definitely return to if I ever needed to travel to London again.

A Suite Escape

The delightful surprises didn’t stop there! Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a suite, which immediately put us in a fantastic mood. The Leonard’s prime location, just a stone’s throw from Marble Arch, adds to its appeal. It’s a real gem, oozing elegance and charm. The rooms, while maintaining their old-world elegance, are spacious for London standards. And, of course, the staff continued to be incredibly helpful.

While we enjoyed our in-room breakfast, we noticed it was more than enough for two. Although it wasn’t quite as delicious as the breakfast we had on our previous stay three years ago, it was still a delightful way to start the day.

A Wonderful Stay

My recent stay at The Leonard was truly memorable. I was so happy with the hotel’s fantastic location and the incredible size and comfort of my suite. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, and the luxurious bathtub was the best I’ve ever experienced in London!

A Family-Friendly Haven

The Leonard is the perfect choice for families visiting London. We loved the hotel’s ideal location and the excellent service. Our family of two parents and three children (14, 10, and 5 years old) had a fantastic time during both our December 2012 and February 2015 visits. We’ll always be grateful for the wonderful memories we’ve created at The Leonard and will definitely return for future trips to London.

Quirky Charm and Convenience

While I was often exploring the city, I truly appreciated the tranquil atmosphere of The Leonard. Its convenient location, just a minute from Oxford Street, yet still quiet and peaceful, is a rare find in bustling London. While the hotel might have a few signs of wear and tear, I actually found this to be part of its charm.

My room was quite unique – a quirky space with its own private staircase. It even had a separate toilet with hanging chains instead of a door. It might not be for everyone, but I loved its charm! Despite its unique layout, the room was clean and fresh. I highly recommend The Leonard for single travelers who are looking for a unique and affordable accommodation.

A London Favorite

The Leonard has been a family favorite for the past two years. It’s simply impossible to beat its location in the heart of Central London. Oxford Street is just a short walk away, offering easy access to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and late-night eateries. There’s even a Tesco on Edgware Road for all your grocery needs!

The hotel’s wholesome and freshly prepared breakfast is a great way to start the day, providing plenty of energy for exploring the city. While the rooms could benefit from a few modern touches, including brighter lighting and updated bathrooms, the friendly staff and excellent amenities more than make up for it. The restaurant in the lobby is open 24 hours, housekeeping is provided daily, and the reception staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend The Leonard to anyone traveling to London.
