Imagine this: you’re in a taxi, exhausted after a dreadful stay at another hotel. You’re just ten minutes away from a new hope – The Leonard Hotel. A quick call, just your name, no need for credit card details, and they’re ready to welcome you. This is not your typical corporate hotel, this is a place where tradition and genuine warmth meet you at the door.
A Welcoming Oasis
As you step into The Leonard, you’re greeted with the comforting aroma of a traditional hotel. Though you’ve booked at the last minute, they’ve already started preparing your room. While you wait in the elegant lounge with a glass of champagne, you can feel the genuine care and attention from the staff. Within minutes, your room is ready, and you’re ready to relax. Every member of the staff is eager to assist, and no request is too big or too small. The food is delicious, the rooms are comfortable, and the overall ambiance is simply delightful. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations, especially in terms of service and value for money. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, and we will definitely return if we ever find ourselves in London again.
A Suite Experience
Our arrival was even more special, as we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a suite. This truly made our stay even more enjoyable. We couldn’t help but fall in love with the hotel’s elegant charm and its prime location, just a short walk from Marble Arch. The rooms, while retaining their classic elegance, are surprisingly spacious for London. And the staff, ever helpful, are always there to cater to your needs. We ordered room service breakfast for one person, but it was more than enough for two. While it wasn’t as good as our previous visit three years ago, it was still a pleasant experience.
A Haven for Every Traveler
The Leonard Hotel is truly a haven for all types of travelers. Whether you’re a solo adventurer looking for a unique and comfortable stay, a couple seeking a romantic getaway, or a family looking for a central location, this hotel has something for everyone.
A Family-Friendly Haven
Our family, consisting of two parents and three children, has stayed at The Leonard Hotel twice, in December 2012 and February 2015. We loved our stays both times! The location is ideal for exploring London, and the hotel itself provides everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. From the spacious rooms to the friendly staff, everything about this hotel makes it a fantastic choice for families. We’ll definitely be back!
Quirky Charm & Perfect Location
I confess, I spent most of my time exploring the city, but when I wasn’t out and about, I was happy to be in my unique and charming room. The Leonard’s location is truly perfect, just a minute walk from Oxford Street, yet still peaceful and quiet. The hotel may have a slightly worn-down appearance, but this is part of its quirky charm. My room, number 17 if I recall correctly, was one of the most unique I’ve ever seen. It had its own private staircase leading directly to the room, a separate toilet with hanging chains instead of a door, and a shower right in the room. While it might not be everyone’s cup of tea, I loved the character and enjoyed the clean and fresh atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel for solo travelers who appreciate a bit of quirkiness and don’t mind a few steps to get to their room.
A London Must-Stay
We’ve been staying at The Leonard Hotel for the past two years with our family, and it’s become our go-to place in London. The location is unbeatable, smack-dab in the heart of Central London, with Oxford Street just a short stroll away. It’s a perfect spot for exploring all that London has to offer, with easy access to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and even late-night eateries. You’ll find a Tesco just a few steps away on Edgware Road. The breakfast is hearty and fresh, enough to fuel you for a full day of sightseeing. While the rooms could use a few modern touches, like brighter lighting and updated bathroom fixtures, the staff and amenities more than make up for it. The restaurant in the lobby is open 24 hours, housekeeping is done daily, and the reception staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
The Leonard Hotel is a true gem, a haven of comfort and warmth in the bustling city of London. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!
