A London Gem: The Leonard Hotel

Imagine this: you’re in London, rushing through a chaotic taxi ride after a terrible hotel experience. You need a place to stay, and fast! You find yourself at The Leonard, a charming hotel with a welcoming, traditional vibe. They only ask for your name, no need for card details.

A Touch of Luxury

This is no corporate machine; The Leonard has a personal touch. Despite your short notice, they are busy making your room ready. While you wait, they offer you a glass of sparkling champagne in the cozy lounge. Within 10 minutes, you’re comfortably settled in your room.

This is the kind of place where the staff goes above and beyond. Always cheerful and ready to assist with any request, they make you feel truly welcome. The food is delicious, and the rooms are comfortable and homey. You can’t beat the value for the service and amenities you get. This hotel is a true gem.

A Family-Friendly Oasis

The Leonard is perfect for families too. During our last visit, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a spacious suite, which made our trip even better. The elegant rooms, with their old-world charm, are surprisingly large for London.

We also appreciated the hotel’s excellent location near Marble Arch. It’s the perfect starting point for exploring all that London has to offer. We enjoyed ordering breakfast in our room, though it was less impressive than our previous stay three years ago.

A Unique Stay

The Leonard offers a one-of-a-kind experience. I was particularly impressed with my spacious suite. The room was not only large but also incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

The friendly and helpful staff ensured that all our needs were met. And the bath? It was the best I’ve ever had in London! This hotel truly goes above and beyond to make your stay exceptional.

A London Home Away From Home

This hotel is an ideal place for family stays in London. It’s clear that The Leonard understands what families need. Whether you’re two parents with three kids, like us, or a larger group, this hotel has you covered.

The hotel’s excellent location allows you to easily explore all of London’s attractions. We’ve stayed here twice, in 2012 and 2015, and we would happily return again.

It’s a truly exceptional hotel, and we highly recommend it.

A Quirky Delight

For those seeking a more unique experience, The Leonard has a charming quirkiness. I loved the fact that my room (number 17, if I remember correctly) had its own private staircase!

The room itself was a bit worn but clean and fresh. I loved its eclectic character and the sense of history it exuded. The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring Oxford Street, while still being a peaceful retreat away from the bustling crowds. It’s a great choice for independent travelers who appreciate a bit of individuality.

A Central London Haven

The Leonard is a true gem in the heart of London. It’s a great option for families looking for a comfortable and well-located base for exploring the city.

The location is unbeatable. Just a stone’s throw from Oxford Street, you’re within easy reach of shopping, dining, and nightlife. We particularly loved the convenience of the late-night Tesco and the abundance of restaurants and bars nearby.

The hotel’s breakfast is a highlight. It’s wholesome and freshly prepared, making sure you have the energy to tackle the day’s adventures. While the rooms could benefit from some modern touches and brighter lighting, the staff and amenities more than make up for it.

With its friendly staff, 24-hour restaurant, daily housekeeping, and central location, The Leonard is a perfect choice for a London getaway. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
