Hilton London Metropole is undergoing a multimillion-pound transformation, aiming to radically elevate the guest experience. This extensive renovation, expected to be complete by summer 2021, will leave no stone unturned, giving the hotel a brand-new look and feel.
The renovation will touch every corner of the hotel.
The 1,096 guestrooms and suites have been given a stunning makeover. The contemporary and bold aesthetic nods to different London boroughs, offering a unique experience.
The four restaurants and bars are being revamped with exciting new concepts, including a British brasserie showcasing locally sourced ingredients and a relaxed market-style dining outlet celebrating London’s street food scene. Adding to the fitness options, the hotel will also unveil a state-of-the-art fitness studio, spanning 200 square meters.
Modernizing the Meeting Spaces
The hotel’s event spaces are undergoing a complete overhaul. 35 meeting rooms and event spaces are being revitalized, including two dedicated hybrid meeting rooms and three ballrooms, covering over 4,600 square meters. These spaces, ranging from the 1,062 square meter Richmond Suite to the Kensington Suite with its open private foyer and capacity for up to 1,350 guests, will be equipped with the latest technology.
Hilton London Metropole also embraces Hilton EventReady with CleanStay, guaranteeing clean, flexible, safe, and socially responsible event experiences.
A Modernized Approach to Hospitality
Remco Norden, Area General Manager, expressed his excitement about the renovation, stating, “This ambitious project will ensure Hilton London Metropole remains Europe’s leading conference and events hotel.” He believes the transformation will elevate the guest experience, making it the preferred choice for business and leisure travelers, as well as corporate and private events of all sizes.
The renovation celebrates London and the hotel’s rich history. Despite the challenges faced by the industry in 2020, Norden sees a bright future, and the renovation is a significant investment in that future.
Hilton London Metropole is embracing cutting-edge technology to enhance guest experiences. From upgraded Wi-Fi to Digital Key allowing Hilton Honors members to check in and choose their room via their smartphone, the hotel is focused on creating a seamless stay.
Celebrating London’s Vibrant Spirit

From the architecture and design to the restaurants and bars, guests will be immersed in the capital’s history, with purposeful acknowledgements to East, Central, and West London’s heritage. Iconic areas like Borough Market, Covent Garden, and towns on the Thames will be highlighted.
Sustainability at the Core
Sustainability is a key pillar of the renovation. From the team members’ uniforms, made from recycled plastic, to the green kitchens serving locally grown produce, Hilton London Metropole is committed to creating an ethical and environmentally conscious space. The hotel has partnered with a wide range of businesses and manufacturers to achieve its sustainability goals.
