This is the story of a hotel that stole our hearts. We were so disappointed with another hotel in London that we booked a room at The Leonard Hotel while sitting in a taxi just 10 minutes away. We were impressed right away when all they needed was our name, no need for a credit card over the phone.
A Touch of Tradition
The Leonard is a traditional hotel with a charming, non-corporate feel. Even though we booked with very little notice, they were working hard to get our room ready. While we waited in the comfortable lounge with a glass of champagne, they took care of everything. Ten minutes later, our room was waiting for us.
Exceptional Service and Comfort
The staff at The Leonard Hotel is truly fantastic. They’re always happy to help, and nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious, and our room was cozy and inviting. We can’t say enough good things about the service and the value. We would definitely stay there again if we ever need to travel to London. It’s a real hidden treasure in the heart of the city!

Upon arrival, we were delighted to be upgraded to a suite, which made our stay even more special. The Leonard has a fantastic location, just a short walk from Marble Arch, and its elegant ambiance is simply captivating.

The staff is incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. We enjoyed ordering breakfast in our room, though it wasn’t quite as delicious as it was during our previous stay three years ago.

My stay at The Leonard was absolutely perfect. The location is superb, and the suite I was given was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The staff is truly exceptional and always ready to assist with any request. I especially loved the bathtub – the best I’ve ever experienced in London!

The Leonard is the perfect choice for a family vacation in London. The hotel’s fantastic location and excellent service make it an ideal choice for families. Our family, consisting of two parents and three children (aged 14, 10, and 5), thoroughly enjoyed our stay in December 2012 and again in February 2015. Quirky Charm
I can’t really say too much about The Leonard Hotel since I spent most of my time in my room or out exploring the city. The hotel’s location is fantastic, just a minute from Oxford Street, yet it manages to be quiet and peaceful. The hotel is a bit worn down, but that’s part of its charm, as many guests have mentioned before. My room (number 17, if I remember correctly) was the most unique room I’ve ever stayed in. I absolutely loved it! It had its own private staircase, leading up to the room, and a separate toilet with hanging chains instead of a door. There were a couple more steps up to the room itself, which had a shower in the room. It was a bit worn down, but clean and fresh. I loved it! I would highly recommend The Leonard to single travelers who are adventurous and don’t mind a bit of a quirky experience.
A Central London Oasis
The Leonard is a true gem in the heart of London. My family and I have been staying here for the past two years, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. The location is unbeatable, right in the middle of Central London, with Oxford Street just a minute away. It’s so easy to get to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and late-night eateries. There’s even a Tesco on Edgware Road! The breakfast is filling and freshly made, keeping you going all day.
Modern Touches
While the rooms could benefit from a few modern touches, like brighter lighting and updated bathroom fixtures, the staff and amenities are excellent. The lobby restaurant is open 24 hours a day, the rooms are cleaned daily, and the reception staff is friendly and helpful.
London’s Hidden Gem
Overall, The Leonard Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. It’s a charming, traditional hotel with a fantastic location, excellent service, and comfortable rooms. We love the unique character and the friendly staff. If you’re looking for a hotel in London that offers a great value, a convenient location, and a warm welcome, then The Leonard should be at the top of your list!
