A friendly voice greets you, and you realize this is a place that prioritizes human interaction over automated processes. Your name is all they need, no credit card details required. As you step inside, you’re transported to a bygone era, where traditional values and personalized service reign supreme. The staff, ever-smiling and ready to help, make you feel right at home.
They’re still putting the finishing touches on your room, so you settle into the inviting lounge, a glass of bubbly in hand. Within minutes, you’re whisked away to your cozy and comfortable room.
The Leonard is a place where exceptional service and affordability go hand in hand. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm, and you can’t help but feel like you’ve stumbled upon a hidden gem. A place you’ll want to return to whenever you find yourself in London.
More than just a room, it’s an experience
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be swept away by the Leonard’s refined ambiance and elegant charm. A short stroll from Marble Arch, this hotel feels like a secret sanctuary amidst the bustling city.
And the surprises don’t stop there. We were delighted to be upgraded to a spacious suite, a true testament to the hotel’s dedication to exceeding guest expectations. The rooms, while retaining their classic elegance, are comfortably sized for London. The staff are always happy to assist, ensuring your stay is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
While the in-room breakfast is a welcome treat, it might not quite match the deliciousness of the breakfast we savored during our previous visit a few years ago. Still, it’s more than enough to fuel you for a day of exploring the city.
A place for every traveler
My personal experience at the Leonard was unforgettable. I was lucky enough to be assigned a suite, a vast and incredibly comfortable space that made me feel like royalty.
The friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. And the bathroom? Let’s just say, it was the best I’ve encountered in London!
A Family-Friendly Haven
The Leonard Hotel is a haven for families seeking a comfortable and convenient base for exploring London. With its ideal location near attractions like Oxford Street and Marble Arch, it makes exploring the city a breeze.
And the Leonard’s commitment to providing exceptional service makes it the perfect place for families of all sizes. Whether you’re traveling with toddlers or teenagers, the staff will ensure you feel welcomed and well-cared for.
As one family put it, “If we ever have the opportunity to return to London, The Leonard Hotel will be our first choice!”
A Quirky and Unique Escape
The Leonard Hotel is not afraid to embrace its unique character. Some may find it a bit worn, but we believe it adds to its charm.
I had the pleasure of staying in room 17, a truly one-of-a-kind space that felt like a little piece of history. With its private stairs leading directly to the room and a separate WC with hanging chains, it’s a quirky and unforgettable experience.
Although the room might not be for everyone, it’s a testament to the Leonard’s individuality and commitment to providing a distinctive experience for its guests.
A Classic with Modern Touches
The Leonard Hotel offers a perfect balance of old-world charm and modern conveniences. You can enjoy the comforts of a traditional hotel while taking advantage of amenities like a 24-hour restaurant and daily housekeeping.
While the rooms could benefit from brighter lighting and updated bathroom fixtures, the friendly and helpful staff, along with the plentiful amenities, more than make up for it.
The Leonard is a great choice for travelers who want a central location, excellent service, and a true taste of London’s history. It’s a place that will stay with you long after you leave.
