A London Gem: The Leonard Hotel

This hotel was a real lifesaver! After a terrible experience at another hotel, I found myself booking a room at the Leonard while riding in a taxi just 10 minutes away. The process was incredibly easy: they only needed my name, no credit card details were required over the phone.

What makes this hotel special? It has a classic, old-world charm that you don’t find in many modern, corporate hotels. I was greeted with a warm welcome and a glass of bubbly while they prepared our room. They managed to get us settled in within 10 minutes, which was impressive considering I booked with such short notice.

Exceptional Service and Comfort

The staff were truly fantastic – always happy to help and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, and our room felt like a cozy home away from home. I couldn’t fault anything about this hotel, especially the service and value for money. I wouldn’t hesitate to return if I ever need to travel to London again. The Leonard is truly one of London’s hidden gems.

An Elegant Retreat in the Heart of London

Upon arrival, we were delighted to be upgraded to a suite! It really set the tone for a fantastic stay. I love the location and ambiance of the Leonard. It’s a charming, elegant gem just a short walk from Marble Arch. The rooms, while featuring classic elegance, are surprisingly spacious for London. And the staff are incredibly helpful.

We enjoyed a room service breakfast, which was more than enough for two people. While not as good as it was three years ago, it was still a lovely start to the day.

A Comfortable Stay with a Touch of Quirky Charm

I adored my stay at the Leonard! The location is perfect, and the suite I was given was unbelievably spacious and comfortable. The staff are incredibly helpful, catering to all your needs. And let me tell you, the bathtub was the best I’ve ever experienced in London!

A Family-Friendly Haven in London

The Leonard Hotel is ideal for families visiting London. The location is perfect, and everything else about the hotel – from the service to the amenities – is excellent. We have stayed at the Leonard twice, once in December 2012 and again in February 2015, with our three children (14, 10, and 5). We would absolutely stay there again if we have the opportunity to visit London as a family. It’s the best!

A Unique and Quirky Experience

To be honest, I didn’t spend much time in the hotel itself. I was usually exploring the city. But the location is fantastic – just a minute from Oxford Street, yet it’s still quiet and peaceful. Many people have mentioned that the hotel is a bit worn, but I think it adds to its charm. My room (number 17, if I remember correctly) was the quirkiest room I’ve ever seen, but I loved it! It had its own private staircase leading directly to the room, a separate toilet with hanging chains instead of a door, and a shower located within the room itself. While the room was a little worn, it was clean and fresh. It was a truly unique experience. I highly recommend the Leonard to single travelers who are looking for something a little different.

A Central London Oasis

I’ve been staying at the Leonard for the past two years with my family. The location is simply unbeatable. It’s right in the heart of central London, with Oxford Street just a few minutes away. You have easy access to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and even late-night eateries. There’s even a Tesco on Edgware Road. The breakfast is delicious and freshly prepared, providing enough energy for a full day of exploring.

While the rooms could use some modern touches – brighter lighting and updated bathrooms – the staff and amenities are exceptional. The lobby restaurant is open 24 hours, housekeeping services are provided daily, and the reception staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend the Leonard Hotel to anyone visiting London!
