Are you on the hunt for a convenient and affordable place to stay near London Heathrow Airport? Look no further than Premier Inn London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4. This hotel offers a comfortable night’s sleep at a price that won’t break the bank, which is exactly what you need when you’re in transit.
Location is key, and Premier Inn delivers. Just a 10-minute stroll from Heathrow Terminal 4, this hotel is practically a stone’s throw away from the action. Even if you arrive at a different terminal, a short bus ride will connect you to this convenient haven.
We’ve been there, done that! We chose Premier Inn for our recent trip due to its strategic location and budget-friendly rates. After a long day of travel, the last thing you want to worry about is a hefty hotel bill.
Finding the best deals is a breeze. We recommend using travel aggregators like Booking.com or Agoda to snag the best rates. On this occasion, we used our Trip.com points and scored a free stay, which was a fantastic bonus.
Airport hotels aren’t always our go-to, but sometimes they’re a lifesaver. We’ve only stayed at airport hotels twice, and both times were due to unforeseen circumstances. This time, we had an early flight and faced transportation strikes, making Premier Inn the most sensible option.
The reasons we chose Premier Inn are simple:
- Location: Right next to Heathrow Terminal 4 station and a short bus ride from Terminal 3.
- Cost: We didn’t have to pay a dime thanks to our Trip.com points.
Our overall experience was positive, but we encountered a few hiccups at check-in. Even though we had a reservation, the receptionist seemed to have some trouble finding it. We also had to pay for the stay even though we had already paid using our points. While these issues were frustrating, we were still happy with the hotel and would stay there again.
Finding Your Perfect Room
Premier Inn offers a variety of room options to suit all travellers. Whether you need a cozy double, a spacious twin, or a family-friendly suite, there’s a room waiting for you.
Every room comes with a comfortable Hypnos bed, a desk, tea and coffee facilities, free Wi-Fi, a TV, and a modern bathroom. All the essentials for a relaxing stay, no matter how short.
Parking is available, but limited. If you’re driving, you can park at the hotel for a fee, but the spaces are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. If you need long-term parking, the airport offers more options.
First Impressions: A Tale of Two Check-ins
Let’s be honest, our check-in experience left us a little disappointed. The receptionist seemed unable to locate our reservation at first, and we were asked to pay for our stay even though we had already paid using our points. We also found the request for a guest’s details on a torn piece of paper for emergency purposes to be a little strange.
However, we found the reception area to be spacious and modern. The self-check-out option is a fantastic addition, especially for travellers who are in a hurry to catch their flight.
A Spacious and Welcoming Lobby
The hotel lobby is a sight to behold. It’s spacious, open, and boasts a cafe and restaurant area with plenty of seating options. Whether you need a quick bite to eat or a relaxing meal, the lobby has you covered.
We wished we had more time to enjoy the lobby’s amenities. It looked like a perfect spot for a relaxing drink before heading to our room.
Room for Comfort and Surprise
We booked a standard twin room, expecting a basic setup. But we were surprised to find a larger-than-expected room with an additional single bed. For an airport hotel, the size was impressive.
Our room featured a double bed, two bedside tables, a single bed, a flat-screen TV, and a good-sized desk. We were happy to find tea and coffee making facilities, perfect for a quick caffeine boost in the morning.
The room decor was simple but functional. We had a wardrobe for our clothes, a full-size mirror, a hanger, and a vanity area with a mirror. Plenty of space for our luggage without making the room feel cramped.
The view from the window wasn’t anything special, but it wasn’t a big deal since we arrived late and left early.
A Clean and Well-Equipped Bathroom
The bathroom was a decent size, clean, and had a bathtub, a power shower, and a large mirror. A hairdryer was also provided, a welcome addition.
While vanity kits weren’t available, we had a soap dispenser by the sink and a shower gel/shampoo dispenser by the shower.
Breakfast and Beyond
Breakfast wasn’t included in our stay, but we could have enjoyed the hotel’s facilities. We opted for breakfast at the airport, but the hotel had a well-stocked cafe with Costa coffee, meal deal options, pastries, snacks, and a wide selection of drinks.
The hotel also has an in-house restaurant, perfect for a relaxed meal or a drink at the bar. We arrived late and checked out early, so we didn’t have the chance to try the food and drinks.
A Quick and Smooth Checkout
In stark contrast to the check-in experience, the checkout process was quick and effortless. We simply vacated the room, went downstairs to the lobby, and dropped the room key in the designated box.
We were out of the hotel and on our way to the terminal in just three minutes!
The Verdict: A Budget-Friendly Choice with Potential
While we did encounter some minor disappointments, overall our stay at Premier Inn London Heathrow Terminal 4 was a good experience. The room was spacious, modern, and comfortable.
We would definitely consider staying here again for a short stay before or after a flight. The hotel’s location, budget-friendly rates, and comfortable rooms make it a solid choice for travellers looking for a convenient and affordable airport hotel.
