The true magic of CitizenM lies in its communal areas. The hotel’s layout, interiors, and art collection are incredibly well-designed. They even offer a guidebook to the art, allowing you to admire the pieces at your own pace, even after you’ve checked out.

CitizenM Tower of London is in a prime location, right next to the Tower Hill tube station and Tower Bridge. This makes it easy to explore the city’s central attractions and experience London like a local in areas like Bermondsey Street and Borough Market.
A Modern Hotel Experience
Despite its close proximity to the tube station, the hotel is surprisingly peaceful. Check-in is quick and easy at the self-service terminals in the lobby, but staff are always available if you need help. We arrived early and were lucky enough to get a room before the standard check-in time.

Our room was compact, but perfectly designed to maximize space. We loved the comfortable bed, ample storage, and useful amenities like the power sockets, hair dryer, and fridge with bottled water. Even the bathroom was thoughtfully designed, with a powerful shower and high-quality toiletries.
A Tranquil Retreat in the City
We opted for a room with a courtyard view and were impressed by the excellent soundproofing and blackout blinds. The room was so quiet, we didn’t hear a single noise from our neighbors.

The Mood Pad is a central control unit that lets you personalize your room’s lighting, temperature, blinds, TV, and alarm clock. It’s a great way to create the perfect atmosphere, whether you’re working, relaxing, or getting ready for bed.

The living room and canteen on the ground floor are vibrant and welcoming. A chain mail wall cleverly separates the two spaces, creating a sense of separation while maintaining an open feel. The contemporary art, local inspiration, and stylish Swiss furniture create a unique and comfortable atmosphere that’s both functional and stylish.
A Buzz of Energy
The hip vibe of these spaces is contagious, and I could have easily spent all my time just people-watching and enjoying a coffee.
Elevated Views and Stylish Amenities
The bar on the 7th floor offers breathtaking views of the Thames and a cool, hipster atmosphere that rivals the ground floor spaces. The floor also includes business meeting facilities with AV equipment, Nespresso machines, stylish furniture, and whiteboards.
A Delicious and Generous Breakfast
The included breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The buffet offered a fantastic selection of hot and cold options, including eggs, bacon, sausages, pastries, breads, cheeses, fruits, cereals, and freshly brewed coffee.
Smart Thinking and Excellent Value
CitizenM lives up to its core value of smart thinking. Every detail of the hotel is well-considered and efficient, creating a stylish and comfortable experience without unnecessary frills.
A Perfect Base for City Explorers
Would I recommend CitizenM Tower of London? Absolutely. While the hotel doesn’t offer a gym or pool, it provides everything you need for a comfortable and stylish city stay at a great price.
