A Gem in the Heart of London: The Leonard Hotel

Tired of cookie-cutter hotels? Yearning for an authentic London experience? Then look no further than The Leonard Hotel. This charming hotel is a welcome respite from the impersonal, corporate atmosphere that often dominates the city’s accommodations.

A Pleasant Surprise

We stumbled upon The Leonard after a truly dreadful stay at another hotel. In a rush, we booked our room over the phone while in a taxi, just 10 minutes away. Imagine our relief when we arrived to find a classic, welcoming hotel with a warm, personal touch. The staff were incredibly accommodating, and despite our short notice, they managed to have our room ready within minutes. We enjoyed a glass of bubbly in the comfortable lounge while they prepared our space.

A Home Away From Home

The staff at The Leonard go above and beyond to ensure a delightful stay. They are always smiling and happy to assist, no matter the request. The rooms are charming and feel like home, and the food is truly delectable. We couldn’t fault this hotel on anything, especially the exceptional service and reasonable prices. We’re already planning our return trip, and The Leonard is at the top of our list.

A Touch of Luxury

Our arrival was met with an unexpected surprise – a suite upgrade! We were absolutely thrilled! The Leonard’s elegant charm and prime location, just a stone’s throw from Marble Arch, truly captivated us. The rooms, while decorated in a traditional style, are spacious, especially for London. The helpful staff always goes the extra mile, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. While the in-room breakfast wasn’t quite as impressive as it was three years ago, it was still more than enough for two.

A Love for The Leonard

Our stay at The Leonard was truly unforgettable. We were blown away by the spacious and comfortable suite, offering a perfect retreat from the bustling city. The staff’s helpfulness and the incredible bathroom were highlights of our stay.

A Family-Friendly Oasis

The Leonard is a fantastic choice for families visiting London. The hotel’s ideal location, combined with its exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere, makes it a perfect base for exploring the city. Our family, including our three children, had an amazing time on both our December 2012 and February 2015 visits. The Leonard consistently exceeded our expectations, and we would undoubtedly return for future London adventures.

Unique Charm in a Prime Location

While I spent most of my time out and about exploring London, the hotel’s location was a major draw. Just a minute from Oxford Street, the hotel offered the perfect balance of proximity to bustling city life and a peaceful retreat. The Leonard might appear a bit worn in places, but this adds to its unique charm. My room, with its private staircase and quirky layout, was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. While a bit eccentric, the room was spotless and comfortable, perfect for a solo traveler.

A London Favorite

The Leonard has become a go-to destination for our family. Its central location puts us within easy reach of everything London has to offer, from world-class shopping on Oxford Street to countless restaurants, bars, and late-night eateries. The hotel’s breakfast is always a treat, with fresh, wholesome ingredients that fuel us for a day of exploring. While the rooms could benefit from a few modern touches, like brighter lighting and updated bathrooms, the outstanding staff and excellent amenities more than compensate. The 24-hour restaurant, daily housekeeping, and friendly reception staff ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. We wholeheartedly recommend The Leonard to anyone visiting London!
