Imagine this: you’re in London, exhausted from a disastrous hotel experience. But then, a stroke of luck! You stumble upon a charming, traditional hotel just a short taxi ride away. It’s the Leonard Hotel, a little gem tucked away in the heart of the city.
A Serendipitous Stay
We were desperate for a change after a terrible hotel experience. Luckily, finding the Leonard was a breath of fresh air! We booked our room from a taxi, just a few minutes away, and they were happy to accommodate us despite the short notice. This hotel is the epitome of charm and traditional hospitality. We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine as they finished preparing our room, a wonderful touch. The staff was incredibly helpful, always eager to assist with any request. The food was delicious, and our room was cozy and comfortable.
What makes the Leonard special? It’s the little details that make all the difference: the friendly staff, the welcoming atmosphere, and the fantastic value for money. They truly understand the meaning of excellent service. We left the Leonard feeling refreshed and grateful for the wonderful experience. If we find ourselves in London again, the Leonard will be our first choice without a doubt.
An Elegant Gem in the Heart of London
The Leonard Hotel is a true gem in the heart of London, an elegant and charming escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. We were delighted to be upgraded to a suite on arrival, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. The hotel’s location near Marble Arch is ideal for exploring the city’s attractions. The rooms are beautifully appointed with old-world charm and offer a decent size for London.
The staff is incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. We ordered room service breakfast for one, but it was more than enough for two. While the breakfast wasn’t quite as good as it was during our previous visit three years ago, it was still a delicious and enjoyable experience.
A Family’s London Adventure
The Leonard Hotel is a perfect place for a family getaway in London. We’ve stayed here twice, in December 2012 and February 2015, and both times it was a delightful experience. The location is ideal, providing easy access to everything the city has to offer.
Beyond the location, we found the Leonard to be exceptional. The staff is fantastic, and the hotel offers everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We especially loved the helpful and friendly staff, who went out of their way to ensure a memorable experience for our family. We’ll definitely be returning to the Leonard on our next trip to London.
A Quirky Oasis in the City
The Leonard Hotel is a unique escape in the heart of London. While it might not be the most modern hotel, its quirky charm is what sets it apart. It’s conveniently located just a short walk from Oxford Street, offering easy access to the city’s shopping and dining scene.
The hotel is a bit worn down, but in a charming way. My room, number 17, was one of the most interesting and unique I’ve ever seen! It had its own private staircase, leading to a separate WC with hanging chains instead of a door. There were a few more steps up to the room, which included a shower. While the room was a bit worn, it was clean and fresh, and I loved its quirky charm. The Leonard is perfect for single travelers who appreciate unique experiences and don’t mind a little adventure.
A Home Away from Home
For the past two years, the Leonard Hotel has been our go-to destination for family trips to London. Its central location near Oxford Street is unbeatable, putting us within easy walking distance of everything the city has to offer. The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, bars, shops, and even a late-night Tesco.
The breakfast is fresh, wholesome, and perfect for starting the day. While the rooms could benefit from a few modern touches, like brighter lighting and modern bathroom fixtures, the friendly staff and excellent amenities make up for any shortcomings. The hotel’s 24-hour restaurant, daily housekeeping, and friendly reception staff all contribute to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We highly recommend the Leonard for anyone looking for a well-located and welcoming base for their London adventure.
