The Leonard Hotel became my haven after a terrible experience at another London hotel. I booked my room while in a taxi, just 10 minutes away. The hotel required only my name, no credit card information over the phone. This traditional hotel had a welcoming, non-corporate vibe. Despite my last-minute reservation, they were quickly preparing my room. While I waited in the elegant lounge with a glass of sparkling wine, the staff ensured I was comfortable and taken care of. Within minutes, my room was ready!
Hospitality that Shines
The staff at the Leonard went above and beyond, always eager to assist with a smile. They treated every request with care and attentiveness. The food was delicious, and my room felt cozy and inviting. Honestly, I couldn’t find a single fault with this hotel – the service, the pricing, everything was perfect. If I ever need to travel to London again, I’ll definitely be returning to this hidden gem.
A Suite Experience and More
Upon arrival, I was surprised and delighted to be upgraded to a suite. The suite was spacious and elegant, adding to the positive energy of my stay. The hotel’s location is perfect, just steps from Marble Arch, in the heart of London’s bustling city center. The rooms exude old-world charm and are surprisingly spacious for London. The helpful staff catered to our needs with efficiency and kindness. We ordered in-room breakfast for one person, but it was more than enough for two, although not quite as good as the previous time we stayed three years ago.
A Family Favorite
Our family had an amazing time at The Leonard Hotel. It’s the perfect place for family stays in London. The hotel’s location is ideal, and everything else was excellent. We loved our previous stay in 2012 and were thrilled to return in 2015. If we ever get the chance to visit London again, The Leonard Hotel will be our go-to choice. It’s a fantastic hotel, one we highly recommend to anyone traveling with children.
Quirky Charm and a Prime Location
I spent most of my time exploring London, but when I was at the hotel, I thoroughly enjoyed my room. It was conveniently located near Oxford Street, providing easy access to shopping and entertainment, yet still quiet and peaceful. The hotel has a slightly worn-down aesthetic, which some might find charming. My room, number 17 if I remember correctly, was unique and fun. It had its own private staircase, a separate toilet with hanging chains instead of a door, and a couple of steps leading up to the room with a shower inside. Despite the slightly aged look, the room was clean and fresh. I loved it! This hotel is perfect for independent travelers who don’t mind a little quirkiness and are comfortable with a few flights of stairs.
A London Landmark
For the past two years, I’ve been returning to The Leonard Hotel with my family. It’s truly a hidden gem in the heart of London. You can’t beat its location. It’s a stone’s throw from Oxford Street, offering easy access to restaurants, bars, shops, and late-night eateries. There’s even a Tesco grocery store on Edgware Road. The hotel’s wholesome breakfast keeps you fueled throughout the day. The rooms could benefit from a few modern touches, such as brighter lighting and updated bathroom fixtures. But despite these minor details, the staff and amenities are fantastic. The lobby restaurant is open 24 hours, daily housekeeping is provided, and the reception staff is always friendly and helpful.
I enthusiastically recommend The Leonard Hotel to anyone traveling to London. It offers a fantastic location, comfortable accommodations, and excellent service at a reasonable price.
