After a truly awful experience at another hotel, we found ourselves desperately seeking a new place to stay. We were in a taxi, just 10 minutes away from our potential savior, and booked a room over the phone. The booking process was incredibly easy – only our name was needed, no credit card details required. As we arrived at the Leonard Hotel, we were greeted by a traditional, welcoming atmosphere, a far cry from the impersonal corporate hotels we’d encountered before.

The staff were still working on our room due to the late notice, but we weren’t left hanging. We were ushered into the lounge and offered a glass of champagne while we waited. Within 10 minutes, our room was ready. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, always ready to go the extra mile. The food was delicious, and our room felt like a cozy home away from home. Everything about our stay was exceptional, especially the exceptional service and value for money. We absolutely intend to stay at The Leonard again when we return to London. It truly is a hidden gem in the heart of the city.

Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a suite, which set the tone for a wonderful stay. The Leonard boasts an elegant atmosphere, just a stone’s throw from Marble Arch, and the location is unbeatable. The rooms, though decorated in an old-fashioned style, are spacious for London standards, and the staff is incredibly helpful. We ordered breakfast in our room for one, but found it was more than enough for two, although the quality wasn’t quite as high as during our previous visit three years ago.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Leonard. The location is fantastic, and I was delighted with the spacious and comfortable suite I was given. The staff is extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. The bathroom was truly exceptional, easily the best I’ve encountered in London.

The Leonard Hotel – the perfect place for a family vacation in London! We couldn’t be more grateful to the hotel for providing such a wonderful experience. The location is ideal, and everything else about the hotel was equally impressive, matching the high standards we expect for this area. Our family (two parents and three children aged 14, 10, and 5) has stayed here twice, in December 2012 and February 2015, and both times we’ve loved our stay. We would definitely choose The Leonard again if we return to London. It’s truly the best!
A unique and quirky experience – This section focuses on the hotel’s distinct character, highlighting its individual charm.
To be honest, I didn’t spend much time in the hotel itself as I was constantly out and about exploring London. However, the location was absolutely perfect – just a minute’s walk from Oxford Street, yet tucked away in a quiet and peaceful spot. While many people have commented on the hotel’s slightly worn-down appearance, I think it adds a certain charm. My room (number 17, if I remember correctly) was the most unusual room I’ve ever stayed in, but I absolutely loved it! The stairs led directly into my room (private stairs, with one and a half flights leading directly to the room). The separate WC had hanging chains instead of a door, and there were a couple more steps up to the actual room, which had a shower. Although a bit worn, the room was clean and fresh. I loved it! I highly recommend this hotel for single travelers who are adventurous and not afraid of a bit of a quirky experience.

The Leonard, a true gem in the heart of London. I’ve been staying here for the past two years with my family. You really can’t beat the location as it’s right in the heart of Central London, with Oxford Street just a short walk away! It’s easy to get to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and late-night eateries. There’s even a Tesco on Edgware Road. The breakfast is wholesome and freshly prepared, and it will keep you going all day. While the rooms could benefit from a few modern touches, like brighter lighting and updated bathroom fixtures, the staff and amenities are fantastic. The restaurant in the lobby is open 24 hours, housekeeping is done daily, and the reception staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend The Leonard to anyone traveling to London!
