A London Gem: The Leonard Hotel

Escape the ordinary and discover the charm of The Leonard, a hidden treasure in the heart of London. This hotel became our haven after a dreadful experience at another London establishment. We booked our stay from a taxi, just 10 minutes away, with a simple phone call. The friendly staff only needed our names, no credit card information was required, a refreshing change from the usual corporate procedures.

Traditional Hospitality and Excellent Service

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a traditional hotel with a classic, non-corporate approach. The hotel was still arranging our room due to our last-minute booking, but we were welcomed into the lounge with a glass of bubbly while we waited. Within 10 minutes, our room was ready. Throughout our stay, the staff’s dedication to hospitality shone. They were always happy to help, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. We were particularly impressed by the delicious food and the cozy atmosphere of our room. Every aspect of our experience, from the service to the pricing, was truly exceptional. We were completely satisfied and are already planning our next trip to London, eager to return to this delightful hotel.

Elegance and Comfort: A Suite Experience

We were delighted upon arrival to find that we had been upgraded to a suite, which added a touch of luxury to our stay. The Leonard’s prime location near Marble Arch, combined with its sophisticated ambiance, creates an irresistible combination. The rooms exude an old-world charm with their ample space, a rarity in London. The staff were exceptionally helpful, catering to our every need. We enjoyed a delicious in-room breakfast, though it was a bit smaller than what we remembered from our last visit three years ago. Despite this small difference, our experience at The Leonard was truly exceptional.

Exceptional Amenities and A Welcoming Atmosphere

We were completely enchanted by our stay at The Leonard. The incredible location and the spacious, comfortable suite we were given made for a truly memorable experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, ready to assist with any request. The hotel’s bath is the best we have experienced in London, a luxurious treat after a day exploring the city.

A Family-Friendly Haven in London

The Leonard Hotel is the perfect choice for families visiting London. The ideal location and excellent amenities make it a truly enjoyable experience for families of all sizes. We stayed with our three children, aged 14, 10, and 5, and all of us had a wonderful time. The hotel exceeded our expectations, just like it did during our previous visit in December 2012. We would highly recommend The Leonard to any family looking for a comfortable and convenient home base in London.

A Quirky Charm in a Perfect Location

While I didn’t spend much time in the hotel itself, focusing on exploring London, The Leonard’s location is simply unbeatable. It’s just a minute away from Oxford Street, but it offers a peaceful and quiet haven from the bustling city. The hotel might appear a little worn down, but this adds to its unique charm. My room, number 17, was truly one of a kind. A private staircase led directly into the room, a quirky feature that made it feel incredibly private. The separate WC with hanging chains instead of a door was a charming touch, and the shower inside the room added a sense of uniqueness. Despite its slightly worn appearance, the room was impeccably clean and fresh. I would highly recommend The Leonard to single travelers seeking a unique and comfortable base in London.

The Leonard: A London Staple for Families and Travelers Alike

We have been returning to The Leonard for the past two years with our family, and it consistently delivers. The location can’t be beat, right in the heart of central London, with Oxford Street just a short walk away. There are countless restaurants, bars, and supermarkets nearby, including late-night eateries and a Tesco on Edgware Road. The wholesome, freshly prepared breakfast is a perfect way to start your day. While the rooms could benefit from some modern touches, including brighter lighting and updated bathrooms, the staff, amenities, and overall experience are exceptional. The 24-hour restaurant in the lobby, the daily housekeeping service, and the friendly and helpful reception staff make this a truly remarkable hotel. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Leonard to anyone traveling to London.
