After a dreadful stay at another hotel, I booked a room at The Leonard while in a taxi just 10 minutes away. The hotel’s charm was evident from the moment I arrived. They only needed my name to make the reservation, no credit card information required. Despite my short notice, they were already working on getting my room ready. While I waited in the cozy lounge with a glass of champagne, I felt a sense of tranquility wash over me. Within just 10 minutes, my room was ready! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. From the delicious food to the inviting room, everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. The service was impeccable, and the prices were incredibly reasonable. This is definitely my go-to hotel whenever I’m in London.

The staff are incredibly helpful and always willing to assist with any request. While the in-room breakfast was sufficient for two, it wasn’t quite as impressive as it was during my previous stay three years ago.

Our family, including our three children aged 14, 10, and 5, stayed at The Leonard in December 2012 and February 2015, and we’re already planning our next visit. Although some may find the hotel a little worn, I personally embraced its quirky character. My room, number 17 if I remember correctly, was the most unique I’ve ever seen. Private stairs led directly into the room, with a separate toilet and a charming shower tucked into the room itself. Despite its age, the room was clean and fresh. The Leonard is an ideal choice for independent travelers seeking a unique and memorable London experience.

The Leonard Hotel has been a favorite of mine for the past two years. The location is unbeatable, with Oxford Street just a minute away. You’re surrounded by an abundance of restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and late-night eateries. A Tesco supermarket on Edgware Road is just a short walk away, making it easy to stock up on snacks and drinks. The breakfast is wholesome and freshly prepared, giving you the energy you need for a day of exploring the city. While the rooms could benefit from some modern updates, like brighter lighting and updated bathrooms, the staff and amenities are truly exceptional. The lobby restaurant is open 24 hours, housekeeping is provided daily, and the friendly and helpful reception staff is always ready to assist.
If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel with fantastic service, The Leonard is an excellent choice.
