A London Gem: The Leonard Hotel

Escape the ordinary and discover a hidden treasure in the heart of London: The Leonard Hotel. This charming establishment offers a unique experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and satisfied.

Finding a haven after a less-than-stellar experience:

I stumbled upon The Leonard after a dreadful stay at another hotel. Desperate for a change of scenery, I booked a room while in a taxi just ten minutes away. The staff, friendly and efficient, only needed my name – no credit card required over the phone. Stepping into the hotel, I was greeted by a traditional ambiance, a world away from corporate chains. Although I arrived on short notice, the staff was already working diligently to prepare my room. While I waited in the lounge, I enjoyed a glass of sparkling wine, a welcoming gesture that set the tone for my stay. Within ten minutes, my room was ready, and I couldn’t wait to explore.

A warm welcome and personalized touches:

The staff at The Leonard truly embodies the spirit of hospitality. Their willingness to assist, no matter how big or small the request, made me feel truly valued. The food was exquisite, and my room felt like a cozy home away from home. I couldn’t fault a single aspect of my stay, especially the exceptional service and the incredible value for money. If I ever need to travel to London again, The Leonard will be my top choice.

More Than Just a Hotel: An Experience

Luxury and comfort in a prime location:

Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a suite, a delightful bonus that added a touch of luxury to my stay. The Leonard is a true gem, an elegant escape just a short walk from Marble Arch. The rooms are charming, boasting old-world elegance and generous space, a rare find in London. The staff is exceptionally helpful, always ready to accommodate any request. While I enjoyed the in-room breakfast, I found it more than enough for two, although not quite as delicious as I remembered from my visit three years prior.

A haven for families and solo travelers alike:

My stay at The Leonard was an absolute delight. The hotel’s prime location is unbeatable, and the suite I was given was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The staff were always ready to help with any need, making my stay even more enjoyable. The bathroom was a particular highlight, the best I’ve experienced in London!

A Family-Friendly Oasis

The Leonard Hotel is an ideal choice for families seeking a comfortable and enjoyable London stay. The hotel’s convenient location, coupled with its exceptional amenities and friendly staff, makes it the perfect base for exploring the city’s vibrant attractions.

Our family, consisting of two parents and three children (14, 10, and 5 years old), enjoyed our stays in December 2012 and February 2015. We loved everything about The Leonard, especially the hotel’s excellent location and its commitment to providing a positive experience for all guests. If our family has the chance to return to London, we’ll definitely stay at The Leonard again – it’s truly the best!

A Quirky Gem for Solo Travelers

A unique stay for the adventurous spirit:

To be honest, I spent most of my time exploring London, but the time I did spend at The Leonard was memorable. The hotel’s position is perfect – just a minute away from Oxford Street, yet still quiet and peaceful. While the hotel may show some signs of age, I found this charm endearing. My room, number 17 if I remember correctly, was the most unique I’ve ever seen, a delightful blend of quirkiness and comfort. A private staircase led directly to my room, a fun and unexpected feature. The separate toilet with hanging chains instead of a door added to the unique ambiance. Although the room was a bit worn, it was immaculately clean and fresh. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend this hotel for fit and adventurous solo travelers.

A London Classic with a Modern Touch

A family-friendly haven with a prime location:

The Leonard, a true gem in the heart of London, has been my family’s go-to hotel for the past two years. Its location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Central London, with Oxford Street just a short walk away. The hotel offers easy access to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and even late-night eateries. There’s even a Tesco on Edgware Road, perfect for stocking up on snacks and drinks. The breakfast, always fresh and wholesome, will fuel you up for a day of exploring.

While the rooms could benefit from a few modern touches, such as brighter lighting and updated bathroom fixtures, the staff and amenities are truly exceptional. The hotel’s lobby restaurant operates 24 hours, providing a convenient option for late-night meals or snacks. Housekeeping ensures your room is spotless every day, and the reception staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

The Leonard Hotel is more than just a place to stay – it’s a London experience you won’t soon forget. Whether you’re seeking a family-friendly haven, a charming retreat for two, or a unique adventure for a solo traveler, The Leonard has something for everyone.
