A London Gem: The Leonard Hotel

It all started with a terrible hotel experience. Feeling stressed and desperate, I booked a room at The Leonard Hotel while sitting in a taxi just 10 minutes away. The staff were incredibly understanding and accommodating. They only needed my name, no credit card details over the phone! What a refreshing change from the usual corporate hotel experience.

A Warm Welcome and Excellent Service

Upon arriving, I was greeted by the hotel’s traditional charm. The staff were busy getting our room ready, so we enjoyed a glass of champagne in the cozy lounge while we waited. Within 10 minutes, our room was ready! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The food was delicious, and our room felt like a cozy home away from home. There was nothing to fault about this hotel, especially the exceptional service and the incredibly reasonable prices. I would definitely return if I ever need to travel to London again.

A Suite Surprise and Location Perfection

We were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to a suite! The suite’s luxurious amenities put us in an excellent mood. The Leonard Hotel is a hidden gem, situated just a short distance from Marble Arch. The hotel boasts an elegant ambiance, and the rooms are stylish and spacious, especially for London. The staff are always incredibly helpful, going out of their way to cater to our needs. We ordered breakfast in our room, and while it wasn’t quite as impressive as our previous stay three years ago, it was still more than enough for two people.

A Dream Stay for Families

The Leonard Hotel is an ideal choice for families visiting London. Our family, consisting of two parents and three kids (aged 14, 10, and 5), had an incredible time during our December 2012 and February 2015 stays. The hotel’s location is fantastic, and everything else, from the service to the amenities, is top-notch. We will definitely be returning to The Leonard Hotel on our next trip to London!

A Quirky and Cozy Stay

I don’t have much to say about the hotel itself, as I spent most of my time exploring the city. The location is perfect, just a minute from Oxford Street, yet still quiet and peaceful. Many people have mentioned that the hotel is a bit worn down, but I found that added to its charm. My room, number 17 if I recall correctly, was the most unique room I’ve ever stayed in. It had its own private staircase leading directly into the room, a separate toilet with hanging chains instead of a door, and a shower located in the actual room. Although a bit worn, the room was clean and fresh, and I absolutely loved it! I highly recommend this hotel to fit single travelers looking for a unique and comfortable stay.

A Perfect London Home Base

The Leonard Hotel is a true gem in the heart of London. My family and I have been staying at this hotel for the past two years, and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else! Its location is unbeatable, just a short walk from Oxford Street, making it easy to explore all the city’s best shops, restaurants, and bars. There’s even a Tesco on Edgware Road, perfect for late-night snacks! The breakfast is delicious and freshly prepared, providing the perfect energy boost for a day of exploring. While the rooms could use a few modern touches like brighter lighting and updated bathrooms, the staff and amenities more than make up for it. The 24-hour restaurant in the lobby, daily housekeeping, and incredibly friendly reception staff made our stay truly unforgettable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London.
