A London Oasis: The Leonard Hotel

Imagine this: You’ve just endured a disastrous hotel experience and are desperate for a change. You find yourself hailing a cab, barely ten minutes away from a haven called The Leonard Hotel.

A Warm Welcome and a Touch of Luxury

With a quick phone call, they secured your reservation – no credit card needed, just your name! The Leonard is a throwback to a bygone era, a traditional hotel with a charming, non-corporate atmosphere. Though you arrived on short notice, they were busy preparing your room. While you waited in the elegant lounge, enjoying a glass of bubbly, your room was ready in a mere ten minutes.

The staff were incredibly accommodating, always happy to help. They went above and beyond, and nothing felt like a bother. The food was delicious, and the room was cozy and inviting. Everything about The Leonard, from the exceptional service to the reasonable prices, was perfect. This hotel truly exceeded expectations, and if you find yourself traveling to London again, you’ll find me back here without a doubt.

A Gem in the Heart of London

Stepping into The Leonard, you immediately feel a sense of calm and sophistication. You’re greeted with a smile, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We were delighted to be upgraded to a suite, a wonderful surprise that set the tone for our stay. The hotel is in a prime location, just a short stroll from Marble Arch, making it easy to explore all that London has to offer.

The rooms have a classic elegance, with ample space, especially for London standards. The staff is incredibly helpful and always ready to assist with any need. We ordered room service breakfast for one, but it was more than enough for two. Although not quite as impressive as our previous stay three years ago, the breakfast was still enjoyable.

A Comfortable and Welcoming Stay

I was absolutely enchanted by my stay at The Leonard. The location is fantastic, and the suite I was given was simply incredible – spacious and comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful, catering to every request. The bathroom was the best I’ve encountered in London, adding a touch of luxury to the experience.

A Family-Friendly Haven

The Leonard is truly a perfect choice for families visiting London. Our family, with two parents and three children (aged 14, 10, and 5), had a wonderful time at The Leonard. The location is ideal, and everything about the hotel was excellent, perfectly matching its prestigious location. We’re already planning our next trip to London and can’t wait to return to The Leonard. It’s a fantastic hotel, and we highly recommend it.

A Quirky and Charming Retreat

For those seeking a more independent adventure, The Leonard offers a unique charm. While I was out and about exploring London, I found myself drawn back to the comfort and uniqueness of my room. The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a minute from bustling Oxford Street, yet still quiet and peaceful. The hotel has a bit of a worn-down look, but in a strange way, this adds to its charm.

My room, number 17 if I recall correctly, was one of the most quirky rooms I’ve ever seen. I absolutely loved it! The stairs lead directly to your room, a private staircase with one and a half flights. You enter the room through a separate WC with hanging chains instead of a door. A few more steps lead you to the main room with a shower tucked into the corner. While the room could use a little touch-up, it was clean and fresh. It’s a perfect choice for adventurous solo travelers who appreciate a unique experience.

A True London Gem

For two years now, my family and I have been returning to The Leonard. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of Central London, with Oxford Street just a stone’s throw away. It’s incredibly convenient for exploring the city, with easy access to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and late-night eateries. There’s even a Tesco on Edgware Road, making it easy to stock up on snacks and drinks.

The breakfast is a real highlight, fresh and hearty, perfect for fueling up for a day of exploring. The rooms could benefit from some modern upgrades. The lighting could be brighter, and the bathrooms would benefit from more modern faucets. But these are minor quibbles compared to the amazing staff and amenities. The lobby restaurant is open 24 hours, housekeeping is done daily, and the reception staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

The Leonard is a must-stay for any visitor to London. With its prime location, charming ambiance, and exceptional service, it’s a true gem in the heart of the city.
