A Nightmare Flight: My Experience with Ryanair

Let me tell you, my recent flight with Ryanair was a complete disaster! From the moment I stepped on board, it was a constant struggle. I was stuck in the last row, forced to sleep upright, and then rudely awakened by a stewardess who decided to use my seat for a nap!

It was like they forgot what “business class” actually meant. Amenities? Forget it. No fancy kits, no friendly smiles, just a cold, impersonal experience. The food was inedible, and the only drink I could get was water. Forget about wine or cocktails, those were clearly not encouraged!

This was the most cramped and uncomfortable “business class” I’ve ever encountered. It felt more like a budget airline than a premium service.

A Messy Start and a Disorganized Flight

And it all started badly at the airport. You wouldn’t believe this, but Ryanair doesn’t tell you the check-in time limit anywhere on your ticket, boarding pass, or emails! The only sign is hidden at the back of a long, snaking queue, which can easily be blocked by people. I wasted half an hour only to be turned away.

Things didn’t get any better on the flight. We paid for priority boarding, which included extra carry-on bags. But the agent insisted I shove my CPAP machine under my seat, even though it wouldn’t fit without jamming it! They seemed to have oversold priority or simply didn’t check bags, leading to a huge fight over overhead storage.

The whole flight felt poorly managed and chaotic. Even the inflight ordering system didn’t work!

It was a terrible experience, and I’m definitely never flying Ryanair again.

Delays, Discomfort, and Disrespect: My British Airways Ordeal

British Airways has become a byword for delays. My flight was delayed by a whopping 12 hours! The delay just kept getting longer as the day went on. Our 8:30 PM flight finally took off at 11:33 PM.

And the problems didn’t end there. The cabin was freezing cold because the heating was broken. They should have grounded the plane if it couldn’t provide decent conditions for passengers. I asked for coffee, but they said only cold drinks were available, even though people behind me were served coffee and biscuits.

It felt like they were deliberately trying to make us uncomfortable.

Missed Connections, Cancelled Flights, and A Disastrous Journey

My first British Airways flight was 2 1/2 hours late. Then I had to wait on the tarmac for 45 minutes to board. The delay meant I missed my connection and had to wait another 2 1/2 hours to get booked on another flight the next day.

It was a nightmare. I had to wait another hour for a hotel room, and then another hour and 15 minutes for a freezing bus ride to the hotel. Even the hotel ran out of food!

British Airways completely messed up this trip.

British Airways: A Pattern of Trouble

It seems like British Airways is having operational issues. Our first flight was cancelled, and my wife’s return flight was delayed. London security even told us that cancelled flights are common with British Airways.

This experience has made me rethink flying with British Airways in the future.
