A Relaxing Escape with Friendly Service

This hotel provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I was lucky to check in early and take advantage of the spa facilities, which were a welcome treat. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel was spotless. Breakfast was truly exceptional – one of the best I’ve ever had in a hotel! The location was perfect for visiting the O2 Arena, with a convenient covered walkway connecting the hotel directly to the venue.

The spa’s pool area was pleasant, though showing signs of age in certain areas (like the broken steps). My room was well-equipped and offered stunning river views from the 14th floor, but it lacked a bit of personality. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Tarek Makes the Difference

Our stay was absolutely phenomenal! The hotel staff, especially Tarek at the front desk, went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. Tarek’s exceptional service deserves a huge shout-out! He was incredibly helpful, even going the extra mile to accommodate our early arrival and ensure our satisfaction. His genuine hospitality was truly remarkable.

The hotel itself offered beautiful views from the higher floors. The rooms were spotless, perfectly sized for our 5-night stay. We loved the vibrant atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, both for breakfast and dinner. The portions were generous, and we were consistently pleased. The lobby was beautifully designed and had a lovely aroma.

The only minor drawback was the lack of a business center, but Tarek swiftly offered to print our documents for us, demonstrating his exceptional customer service. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our entire stay and will undoubtedly return in the future!

A Hotel That Feels Like Home

Our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Sutton was simply delightful! We used it as a base for exploring London and the surrounding areas, and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough. While it might not offer 5-star luxury, it provides cleanliness, comfort, and exceptional staff – the real essentials for a great stay.

The staff here are truly exceptional – some of the best I’ve encountered, even in 5-star hotels. Every member of the team, from the restaurant and front desk to housekeeping and the health club, was an absolute credit to the hotel and brand. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, making our stay truly unforgettable.

From the friendly greetings in the morning and evening to the little touches that made a big difference, the staff made us feel truly welcome and appreciated. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel. If there’s any way to recognize the outstanding service we received during our stay (August 27-29, 2022), we encourage you to do so!

Modern Design, Limited Space

This hotel is modern and clean, well-maintained, and offers comfortable sleeping quarters. My wife and I stayed there twice, each time for several days while exploring the UK. The rooms were quiet, and the air conditioning worked efficiently. The bathrooms were stylish, well-designed, and impeccably clean. Housekeeping was adequate.

However, a major issue was the limited space in the rooms. Both rooms we stayed in were very small, with practically no space for clothes. The drawers were unusable, and the closets were tiny, with insufficient hangers. If you’re planning a stay longer than a couple of days, you’ll find it difficult to unpack and won’t have anywhere to store your belongings.

Breakfast was merely okay. There was a limited selection of fresh fruit, and while you could order hot breakfast items, most of what we tried wasn’t particularly good. The reception staff was only marginally helpful, and no one assisted us with our luggage. If you need a taxi or limo to the airport, you’re on your own, as the hotel’s location near bus stops makes it challenging for vehicles to pull up for drop-offs or pick-ups. There were just a few annoying things about this hotel, some easily remedied, while others might be more permanent. For future London trips, I’ll be exploring other accommodation options.

A Disappointing Experience

Our 3-night stay was incredibly disappointing. The rooms we were initially assigned were incorrect, and the receptionist was unhelpful when we addressed the issue. Her male colleague did eventually help us switch rooms on the second day, but all four rooms we stayed in were substandard, barely deserving of a single star.

Our basement room was situated directly above the tube line, making it impossible to sleep due to the constant noise. Basic safety measures seemed nonexistent. Breakfast was basic, with no hot food and spoiled milk stored in a flask. Everything except the reception area was filthy. The bar was closed for two out of our three days due to the bartender’s absence, and no one else was authorized to open it, including the manager. There was even a £10 charge to store luggage while waiting to check in!

We overheard at least six other guests complaining about their assigned rooms while passing through the reception area. The reality of the hotel falls short of its online photos. Windows were unopenable, safes were malfunctioning, and the “newly refurbished bathroom” had corroded faucets and a blocked shower. The price was outrageously high for what it offered. This establishment doesn’t deserve to be called a hotel. Unfortunately, a zero-star rating isn’t an option.

A Self-Catering Haven with Quirks

Our stay during the Christmas period was enjoyable. The ease of booking a short-notice reservation was convenient, and the suite was comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home.

The staff were polite and helpful, and the hotel’s location in the heart of Hammersmith was perfect, with easy access to the station, shopping malls, and a variety of shops. The gated garden with rock tables and ashtrays provided a pleasant outdoor space. The Executive studio offered a large, modern room, bathroom, kitchen, flat-screen TV, and a private veranda with a table and ashtray.

We appreciated the self-catering option, but housekeeping still kindly cleaned the room during our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped with a cooker/microwave, separate microwave, kettle, hidden refrigerator, fan, heating, and nice artwork. The bedding was comfortable, with clean towels and excellent mattresses.

There were a few minor drawbacks: the reception area was rather small, the hallway to our downstairs suite felt unkempt, noise from slamming doors was noticeable, and there was a five-hour wait for a TV remote control. The advertised king-sized bed turned out to be two singles pushed together, and there was no toilet paper. The TV mount was unstable and screws fell out during use.

Despite these minor quirks, we had a pleasant stay. The private veranda was a fantastic feature in the heart of London. The hotel is more like a collection of self-catering mini-apartments, which suited us well. We enjoyed being able to prepare our own meals and relax in the private outdoor space. Overall, we highly recommend the hotel and would happily stay again. Just be aware of potential noise from the hallways.

A Simple Yet Comfortable City Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Zedwell. It’s a simple, stylish hub hotel with an excellent location in central London. It’s just steps away from the tube station, making it easy to explore the city’s tourist attractions. The beds were incredibly comfortable.

Having traveled extensively for work, I know what makes a good hotel room, and this one was perfect. Even though I was traveling with my three kids, the absence of a TV meant they slept soundly. The lack of carpeting and decorative pillows was a bonus, ensuring we didn’t have to worry about cleanliness.

We were out exploring most of the time, so the lack of a view or windows wasn’t an issue. There was no breakfast included, but we grabbed fruit from a nearby Tesco Express. A 24-hour cafe and bar next door provided another convenient breakfast option.

If you know what to expect, you’ll find the rooms pleasantly surprising. The standout feature of our stay was the exceptional reception team member who generously comped our left luggage. His thoughtful and personalized service made a lasting impression, and we’ll definitely be returning to Zedwell in the future!
