Boyter & Pope, a renowned directing duo, delved into the theme of balance at The Club Cala San Miguel and Cala San Miguel Hotel in Ibiza. Their unique approach to storytelling and visual composition brings a fresh perspective to their work.
“It’s interesting seeing the two hotels, you just instantly start to compare them,” the duo shared. “It really unlocked a lot of ideas for us.”
Boyter & Pope captured the essence of these hotels by blending emotive scenes, natural light, and the picturesque surroundings. The Club Cala San Miguel and Cala San Miguel Hotel embody the spirit of northern Ibiza, offering a balance between thrilling activities during the day and peaceful moments in nature at night.

Lucy Galliford, a filmmaker with an eye for detail, unveiled the unique story of Hart Shoreditch Hotel, a modern design hub in London’s East End. Her documentary style of videography highlighted the hotel’s intricate craftsmanship and attention to detail.
“You can tell when something’s been crafted from the heart,” Lucy explains. “I don’t think I could’ve imagined the detail until I was actually here; there was so much to take in.”
Hart Shoreditch embraces the eclectic energy of London’s East End, blending contemporary design elements with curated details. The hotel’s décor pays homage to the Hart family’s history and features unique objects collected from the local area. It’s a chic retreat that celebrates both the industrial past and the creative revival of the East End.
Discovering the Cultural Treasures of Hagia Sofia Mansions
Keith Afadi, a photographer known for his quirky aesthetic, captured the vibrant culture and grandeur of Hagia Sofia Mansions in Istanbul.
“This was my first international shoot and I loved it,” Keith shared. “I’m so pleased with how the film turned out and I’m excited for people to experience everything that the Hagia Sofia Mansions in Istanbul has to offer.”
Keith documented every detail, highlighting the hidden elements in the flooring, furniture, and doors of Hagia Sofia Mansions. Through his lens, he showcased the hotel’s cultural richness, from the staff’s dedication to the intricate design. It’s an immersive experience that allows guests to explore the heart of Old Town Istanbul without even leaving the hotel.

Angela Tozzi, a photographer known for her minimalist style and passion for capturing nature’s beauty, immersed herself in the tranquil atmosphere of Le Hameau des Pesquiers, a natural escape on the French Riviera.
“Working on this shoot for Curio was a unique experience,” Angela shares. “The open brief allowed me the freedom to develop my own vision. Le Hameau des Pesquiers is a very special place I immediately felt attached to since it reminded me of home. I usually get inspired by nature and the sense of peace that comes from being immersed in it, therefore filming for this came only natural to me.”
Le Hameau des Pesquiers, a former fishermen’s hamlet transformed into a luxurious eco-retreat, embraces its connection to nature. Angela captured the hotel’s unique heritage, showcasing how fresh ingredients are foraged from the gardens and the original fisherman’s elements are woven into the design. “I couldn’t have asked for a better few days,” Luke shares. “The weather was magical, we had beautiful sunsets every evening covering and filling the hotel in beautiful golden light. Sulià House is the perfect location for an idyllic island getaway.”
