Imagine a hotel that makes you feel like you’re nestled in a treetop, overlooking the bustling city of London. This is the Treehouse Hotel, a unique and whimsical hotel that blends a nature-inspired ambiance with the vibrant energy of Oxford Street. We recently had the pleasure of experiencing this family-friendly haven, and we’re here to share our thoughts.
A Whimsical Escape
From the moment we stepped out of the cab, the Treehouse Hotel’s charm was apparent. A giant robin, perched proudly atop the entrance, instantly captured our attention, hinting at the hotel’s playful theme. Inside, the lobby was filled with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel’s treehouse and nature-inspired design creates a truly unique experience, seamlessly weaving the city’s urban landscape with a touch of the outdoors.
The friendly staff greeted us with a smile and a generous offering of sweets, setting a delightful tone for our stay. Our little ones were thrilled to receive activity packs filled with colorful stickers and drawing materials, keeping them entertained during our London adventures. As the evening drew in, we returned to our room to find a sweet surprise: freshly baked cookies and a glass of milk (oat milk for us!), delivered with a knock on the door.
A Family-Friendly Haven
The rooms themselves were spacious and comfortable, thoughtfully designed to cater to both adults and children. We loved the playful touches, like the fun cushions and magic eight balls, adding a touch of whimsy to the décor. The rooms featured cozy bedding and special treehouse-themed elements, such as an actual tree in the bathroom, bringing the outdoors in. Adults were treated to luxurious showers and comfortable beds, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploring London.
Rooftop Views and Delicious Bites
The Treehouse Hotel offers a number of amenities to make your stay truly memorable. The Nest rooftop bar is a must-visit, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city. We enjoyed people-watching as we sipped our drinks, and the energetic atmosphere provided the perfect setting for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. We even enjoyed breakfast at the Nest each morning, and we highly recommend the huevos rancheros!
Just next door to the hotel, you’ll find Pizzeria Mozza, a cozy and inviting restaurant with delicious food. We loved the freshly baked pizzas, but the real highlight for us was the creative and flavorful starters. Our favorite was the cauliflower fritti with spicy mint aioli, presented as a whole romesco cauliflower to carve! The white bean alla toscana with radicchio & saba was equally delicious and inspired us to recreate it at home.
Location, Location, Location
Located just a stone’s throw from Oxford Street, one of the world’s most iconic shopping destinations, the Treehouse Hotel offers convenient access to world-class shopping, allowing you to explore at your own pace.
The hotel’s prime location also puts you within easy reach of London’s iconic landmarks. A short walk will take you to Hyde Park, a sprawling green space perfect for a relaxing stroll or a picnic. For a dose of culture, the British Museum and the Natural History Museum are both within easy reach.
A Welcoming Atmosphere
The Treehouse Hotel’s staff is friendly and welcoming, catering to families with young children. The hotel offers cots upon request and the restaurant is accommodating to even the fussiest eaters. We found the staff truly understanding of the challenges of traveling with young children, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
